About Our Pastor

Here is what we want you to know about Pastor Stevenson Leonard Reed. He was born in Wando, South Carolina and reared in Charleston, South Carolina by a strong southern spiritual family. His Grandmothers believed in the power of prayer and ensured that he was attending church on a regular bases to build his foundation of his theology. Pastor Reed was licensed at Holden Chapel Baptist Church in Boiling Springs, South Carolina in 1996 and he was ordained at Shiloh Baptist Church in EL Paso, Texas in 1998.

After thirty years of honorable service in the U.S. Army, he relocated to Woodbridge, Virginia where he starting serving in his local church of Shiloh Baptist Church in Alexandria, Virginia. He received the call to serve God, and he fervently served as a faithful, and dedicated minister of the gospel from 2009 to 2019.

During that period, he diligently studied under the instruction of the Holy Spirit and the tutelage of the renowned and prophetic-preacher-teacher of Reverend Doctor Earl Lee at Shiloh Baptist Church. It was at Shiloh Baptist Church where Pastor Reed learned the power of worship and served as Pastor of Worship, Sunday School Teacher, and Marriage Counselor promoting Christian values within his church.

Although Pastor Reed achieved a B.S. Degree in Physical Education from Western Kentucky University, a Master Degree in Education from University of South Carolina, a Master Degree in Strategic Studies from the United States War College and attended seminary at Shaw University; he heard the call of God calling him to Pastor God’s people again; therefore, Pastor Reed decided to attend Capital Seminary and Graduate School in Lancaster, Pennsylvania where he received a Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies in 2016.

Pastor Reed is a former U.S. Army Officer who retired with thirty years of honorable service. He is also the former pastor of Ankara Baptist Church International in Ankara, Turkey from 1998-2000. But more than all of what is written above, Pastor Reed is first and foremost a man who loves his people and truly believes that Jesus still saves.

The scripture that drives him to preach and teach the gospel comes from Jeremiah 8: 20-22, “The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved!” For the hurt of the daughter of my people I am hurt. I am mourning; Astonishment has taken hold of me. Is there no balm in Gilead, Is there no physician there? Why then is there no recovery for the health of the daughter of my people? (NKJV)”
